Hello, Yoga Source family! My name is Kelsey Coggins, but you are more than welcome to call me Kels for short. I am overwhelmingly excited to join this team and start this new journey. I have sixteen years of dance experience in multiple styles from Ballet to Hip Hop. Dance has always been the medium I’ve used to express myself and heal myself. When Barre Fitness came into my life thanks to Jessica Pagola’s CardioBarre studio, it was the perfect exercise regimen for me to lose those pesky last 10 pounds of baby weight. Jessica took me under her wing along with Vicky Sierra and April Clendenin to help me become the instructor I am today. I strive to keep my classes fun, challenging, and self-reflecting. If you walk out of my class feeling more self aware, confident, and stronger, then I’ve done my job. Yoga Source, get ready to sweat and feel that burn, because I’ll see YOU at the Barre.
Kim took her first hatha class in 2006 and quickly became a fixture in many yoga classes. She fell in love with the challenge of the postures and the way they forced her to remain present. It was curiosity and the love of learning which led Kim to her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in 2011 and 500-hour in 2015. Prior to being a yoga instructor, Kim received her BA degree from Emory University and her Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Miami. Kim teaches Hatha, Vinyasa (Hatha Flow), and Yin classes. Recently, she added a new class titled “Slow Flow,” a hybrid-style of the Hatha Flow format incorporating deep breathing and slow, graceful movements and transitions, providing the student with the time needed to move into a posture safely and calmly. Kim loves encouraging new students to fall in love with their practice by understanding and accepting their own bodies’ strengths and limitations, particularly those that are structural. She attends frequent classes and workshops and continues to educate herself through books and journals, eager to provide her students with the newest and safest approaches to postures, or to simply quiet the mind.

With a BA in Sociology, a minor in Psychology and an MBA in Marketing, I didn’t focus on my Yoga career until I left the business world; after my kids were gown and on their own. My only regret is that I didn’t have the yoga training I have now when I was raising my own children; but hopefully my grandchildren will reap the benefits. I trained with Deva Kaur and became certified as a Kundalini instructor 5 years ago. Then last year I became certified in Radiant Child Yoga to expand my teaching to include children of all ages.
Currently, I am teaching in Coral Springs– Kundalini yoga on Thursday mornings from 11 AM – 12:30 PM and Family Yoga on Friday afternoons from 4 – 5 PM. I can also be found at the front desk as a receptionist on Tuesday and Friday mornings, enabling me to be a Yoga Tea Goddess, on those days serving the highly revered home brewed yogi tea to the very appreciative Yoga Source practitioners. It is my honor and pleasure to serve you all! Hope to see you there soon.
